The work
Dante Roux paints force. Slabs of teal and burnt orange collide across weathered grounds; surfaces crack, drip and flake as if the image had been left out in the world to take its chances.
Alongside the pure abstractions run bolder, more graphic works — a bull before the charge, a sprinter’s first stride, a city that doesn’t wait — where a single dark figure anchors the storm of texture around it.
